Autumn 

Autumn

Autumn spent the last 23 years working in the cardiology/ step down unit at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville Pa, and ICU at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg Pa. After relocating, she continued her career as a telemetry tech in the special care unit, with Excela Health.
A leap of faith, brought her to Indian Springs Veterinary Clinic, where she’s been since September, training for her next position in the emergency hospital.
Autumn lives at home with her 11 year old daughter, LilyAna, her dog, Aspyn and two parakeets, Malibu and Martini. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her daughter and being with her family.

Emily

Emily

Emily recently joined our team in March of 2022. She is graduating from VTI in June of 2022 where she has studied to be a veterinary technician. 

Emily is excited about starting her first job post school, gaining experience, and learning from our other team members!

In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and trying to keep up with her two huskies Cooper and Shadow. 

She hopes that one day Kalyani will begin treating large animals as her favorite are cows!

Missy

Missy

Along with their duties at Indian Springs Veterinary Clinic Missy has been working part time as one of our technicians. Missy is a valued member of the Indian Springs Veterinary Clinic team. She began her career in 1993 while living in Virginia. Returning to Pennsylvania in 1995, she began working at Indian Springs Veterinary Clinic under the ownership of Dr. James Boatman. Upon his retirement, Missy continued to work as our head technician.

Along with her husband and two daughters, Missy lives with Jenny ( Labrador/boxer); and Stella (bichon/shihtzu). You will also find three cats, a cockatiel and several fish all living harmoniously under one roof.

Missy enjoys spending her spare time hanging out with family and friends cheering on the Steelers.

 

Candice

Candice

Along with their duties at Indian Springs Veterinary Clinic Candice has been working part time as one of our technicians. Candice joined our team in January 2007 after graduating from Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh. She also has a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Veterinary medicine from Clarion University. She received her certification as Vet Tech in 2007.

Candice keeps busy at home with a full crew that includes LeDoux (chocolate Labrador) Dierks (Aussie mix). Deja (mixed breed) and Kayden her Shetland sheepdog. Her other family members include five cats and a horse.

In her spare time she volunteers with a local dog training club. She enjoys training, teaching, and competing in dog agility, rally, and obedience trials.

Jenna

Jenna

Jenna has spent most of her career in retail management. Her passion has always been taking care of others which is what brought her to the emergency hospital. She started off as a receptionist, working her way to personnel manager and senior technician, which has been a dream for her. 

She currently has four fur-babies—Maya Mae-whom she rescued through Four Footed Friends, Penny the one-eyed wonder who came to the clinic through Four Footed friends, Flower also through Four Foot Friends and lastly, Clark who came through a regular client at the clinic.

When she is not working you can find her working on crafts and spending time with her family and her husband. Jenna is looking forward to her career at Kalyani Emergency.

 Sage

Sage

Ever since she was little, Sage has always wanted to work with animals. She started by volunteering at an animal shelter from 2019 to 2020. After that, she worked for 2 years at a veterinary clinic in Brookville, PA.

Sage graduated from Clarion University with her bachelor's degree in Biology: Pre-Vet. She is also in her 4th semester at Penn Foster to become a certified technician. 

At home, Sage has two dogs, a Cane Corso Mastiff named Bristol and a Rottweiler named Jake, as well as ducks and chickens. In her spare time, she helps out family at a winery, takes her dogs for walks, and enjoys spending time with friends and family. 

Jennifer

Jennifer

"It's not just a job," she says. "It's who I am"

Jenn graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at the Median School of Allied Health Careers in the summer of 2002. Post graduation she began her career at a clinic in Kittanning,  Pa. She worked there for 17 years before joining Indian Springs Veterinary Clinic in April of 2019 where she continues to be a team member. Upon the opening of Kalyani Indiana Emergency Veterinary Hospital,  she began taking care of ER hospitalized pets weekday mornings with other staff,  as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings before the full staff arrives. " Its not just 

Along with her husband Jay and daughter Lauren,  Jenn shares her home with several pets (aka her other kids): her dogs,  Goose the Chicken and Louise, her cats Hope, Simon and Elizabeth, her betta fish,  Alfa and her bearded dragon "son", Tad Cooper. When not working,  Jenn enjoys singing with the Grace Worship Team, attending her daughter's Miracle League games,  as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Toni

Toni

Toni attended the Beaver County Career and Technology Center while in high school. She successfully completed her Veterinary Assistant Exam. She attended the Vet Tech Institute from 2018-2019 and passed her state boards in VTNE in June of 2020 becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.

Toni has been working in the vet field since 2017, starting out as an assistant and working to her current role as a technician within the general practice area and currently in our emergency facility. She is currently attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania for her bachelors degree in Biology with a pre-vet focus, as her goal is to become a licensed DVM working in a small animal practice. In her free time, Toni enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as being outdoors.

 

 

Shannon

Shannon

Shannon has always wanted to work in the veterinary field since she was little, with the support of her mother who was a vet tech when Shannon was younger. She has been surrounded by many types of pets her entire life. Shannon is currently enrolled in her first semester at Penn Foster to become a certified veterinary technician and plans on taking on vet school to earn her DVM post undergrad, continuing to work with Dr. Yogi in the future.

Shannon started her career as a receptionist at Indian Springs Vet Clinic in June 2022 before moving to a receptionist position here at KIEVH in February of 2023 part time, continuing to learn new things about the emergency vet world. In her spare time, you can find Shannon spending time with her 9 year old son, two chihuahuas Lei and Kylo, and three rabbits, Lou, Jack, and Padfoot.

Jordan

Jordan

 Jordan is currently a senior at Indiana University of Pennsylvania studying her B.S. in Biology with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine. She has plans to obtain her DVM post-undergrad with hopes to work in large and small animal emergency medicine.

Jordan wants to learn as much as possible from her time at KIEVH and appreciates the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in the field while attending school.

In any free time, Jordan likes to spend time painting, playing piano, cooking, and working at the equine stables in her hometown. She also enjoys down time with her family and loved once, including her dog and her four cats.

Cassidy

Cassidy

Cassidy joined our team in July of 2020 after graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology and a minor in Wildlife Conservation. She currently works as a vet technician at Indian Springs Veterinary Clinic full time and at Kalyani part time. Before working at the clinic, Cassidy worked at the Aquarium of Niagara helping take care of and enrich the rescued seals and sea lions.

Cassidy has several pets of her own including two dogs, Ferguson (deaf boxer) and Sprout (shih tzu mix), two cats, Chere and Burrito (domestic longhairs), and Tofu her bearded Dragon. When she isn't working, she loves to crochet different projects, walk her dogs, watch scary movies, or curl up and read a good book. Cassidy loves helping animals and she is excited to grow and make connections while working at ISVC and Kalyani Emergency.

 

Abby

Abby

Abby is a recent graduate of Penns Manor High School. She has previous experience working with animals from a local pet resort that featured boarding and daycare. She also currently works at a local flower shop. Abby loves working with animals, and is gaining the knowledge to further her career in the field while working at KIEVH. 

Abby has a Bernese Mountain dog named Chief, loves camping, raising livestock to show at the fairs, cooking, and spending time with her family.

 

 

Nicole

Nicole

Nicole is a third year student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a major in Pre-Vet and a minor in Animal Behavior. She expects to graduate in 2025 and attend Vet school for large and small animals. Nicole is also attending Penn Foster in the winter to become a CVT. She is looking forward to working at KIEVH and gaining new experience in preparation for school. 

In her free time, Nicole is a cheerleader at IUP and also does media for the IUP men's hockey team. She has a mini lop rabbit named Lola that lives on campus with her as well as 3 Labrador Retrievers back home. 

 

Julie

Julie Currently works as a tech at Indian Springs Vet Clinic and is a great help to KIEVH with hospitalized patients during the day. She began her career in 1999 at a clinic in Kittanning, PA, now working on 22 years of experience. She graduated from IUP with a major in Biology. Along with her husband Mike and 3 children, Julie shares her home with her Great Pyrenees fur babies Ozlo and Poppy, as well as 3 cats, Marvin, Merlin, Peno. When not working, she enjoys attending her kids' or husband's sporting events as well as spending time with her friends and family.
